


An initiative to bring more ‘good’ to our long-term care residents.
In 2024, a new initiative, “Doing The Good,” was officially launched. Under this new banner, the organization will bring care and comfort to senior residents in long-term care facilities. Included in this will be the annual pajama drive where hundreds of pajamas are collected and distributed to nursing home residents.

The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program hosted their 2nd annual symposium on August 8th, which brought together professionals serving the senior care community. “The Power of Together”, this year’s symposium theme, featured three experts on topics of elder law, mental health, and wellbeing, aiming to educate and encourage those involved in long-term care.
The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTC Ombudsman) hosted a symposium on August 8th, in which the organization announced its “Doing the Good” award winners and unveiled the reimagined banner for its pajama drive.
The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program is delighted to announce the successful distribution of 550 pairs of pajamas to residents of long-term care facilities throughout Northeast Indiana. This initiative, led by Executive Director Zanzy Lewis, aims to bring warmth and comfort to those who call these facilities home.
Our annual Pajama Drive was officially kicked off with an event at Parkview Field that featured food, music and pajama contests. We were excited to see so many fabulous faces and collect pajamas. Special thanks to the many folks that made this event possible and to the media that covered the event.

Doing the Good, an entity of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program, is excited to announce the launch of its annual Pajama Drive, aimed at bringing warmth and comfort to local nursing home residents. The drive will run from March 20 through April 30, with multiple drop-off locations across Northeast Indiana.
